Originally opened in 1953 as RIU Hotel chain's first establishment, the 4-star Hotel Riu San Francisco - Adults Only underwent renovations while maintaining its convenient beachfront location on Playa de Palma. The wellness hotel offers an outdoor pool, terrace solarium, and direct access to nearby shopping and nightlife along the lively Promenade. Its white and turquoise color scheme creates a uniformly relaxing atmosphere.

Rooms

The 165 guest rooms feature double or suite accommodations, each with air conditioning, flat-screen satellite TV, minibar, and private balcony. Modern bathrooms include toiletries, hairdryer, and make-up mirror, while the decor maintains a white and turquoise theme. Suites offer additional lounge space with a sofa bed.

Dining

On-site dining centers around a large buffet-restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, serving varied cuisine. Six nearby restaurants including Bierkonie Arenal SL and Little Italy operate within 0.5 km. Breakfast is provided, though specific wellness-focused options are unspecified.

Leisure

Wellness facilities include a spa offering massages, plus a gym, sauna, and whirlpool tub. The rooftop pool and solarium provide outdoor relaxation amid Playa de Palma's vibrant atmosphere. Tennis courts and horse riding paths are available nearby.

Landmarks

Situated 5 km from Palma de Mallorca Airport, the resort provides direct beach access and proximity to landmarks like Palma Beach (1 km) and Aqualand El Arenal (3 km). Public transportation is easily accessible along the adjacent Promenade.

“The hotel's location is particularly advantageous, putting guests within easy walking distance of everything, and it offers excellent value for money. Breakfast and dinner buffets are consistently praised for their variety and quality, a real highlight for many. The staff stand out for their helpfulness and warm demeanor, contributing significantly to a pleasant stay.”
